An Experiment:
What is the effect of of alcohol on an in-progress animation? I decided to find out on Friday. With a stack of index-cards, some markers, a lightbox, and no storyboard, Lee Rubenstein and I headed to the unofficial Next New Networks staff pub-of-choice to conduct this important experiment.
The result is fascinating. It’s like watching the inner-thought process of a person becoming intoxicated. It starts off logical and becomes more and more raucous and erratic. Soon enough the foul-mouthed obnoxiousness gives way to non-sensical scribbles. And then you hail a taxi. The end.

Wonderful job, Dan, even if it’s not that original. I’ve been doing this for years, just without the animation part.

I created my own art that night. Still life photo abstractions of projectile vomit.
