The Mammal Group: Jim Cooke

Today’s featured member of the Mammal group is Jim Cooke.
As you will see from these paintings, Jim is an exceptional oil painter with highly developed color and composition skills.
He’s made a name for himself as a children’s book illustrator, doing numerous books for Scholastic and other publishers.
Gentleman Jim is known to be the most dedicated Mammal artist, sometimes pushing himself to spend 22 straight hours at his drafting board wrestling with the paintbrush until he has produced a superior product.
