(I Think) I Love L.A.
Just got back from the spectacular Frederator field trip to Hollywood. We had The Channel Frederator Awards, The Random Cartoon wrap party, and some behind-the-scenes tours of Nickelodeon. Here’s some photos.

Pen Ward and Niki Yang, two CalArts chums and directors of my two favorite Random Cartoon shorts. (Earlier that day I got to sit in on the sound mixing session for Niki’s “Victor” cartoon. It’s so beautifully weird and so is her other one, “The Two Witch Sisters” )
Dave “Gruber” Allen, AKA The Naked Trucker, did a voice for the Random Cartoons short “Moobeard”. He’s a nice fellow who didn’t seem too annoyed when I asked him if I could recreate the poster for his new show.
Even the sink drain of my hotel room seemed to understand what this trip was all about.
Last but not least… the sci-fi holy church of California.

That picture of Carrie is a funny one. Did she drink all the beers that were on those coasters? Sorry I couldn’t make it to the parties. I was in Brooklyn getting the lighting for Six Monsters nailed down.

Great to finally meet you Dan! That Flavio drawing I did is a bit shaky… Must’ve been all the grappa and vino I drank. Yeeesh. I gonna put myself on The Bad Guy List just for that.
