Fred-Ex is on Youtube
For anyone who missed the world-premiere on the Channel Frederator podcast, “Fred-Ex: the Secret Life of Robots” has now made it to Youtube for all the world to see.
Not to reiterate everything that’s been said already about Fred-Ex on the blogs, but this cartoon is something special. 15 directors from 5 continents. Every kind of animation technique. And it’s damn funny.
On a side note, this is the first time I noticed how annoying it is that YouTube chooses the frame from the exact middle of the movie to be the default sample frame. Look at what the middle frame for “Fred-Ex” is: a black screen that says “pregnancy”. It’s not exactly the most exciting screenshot, is it?
P.S. Lee and and I are getting ready to start up Fred-Ex 2. If you’re a director who’s interested in being part of it, now’s the time to say so.
