KC and LL : Keep Controlling L’s Love
One more mash-up. The last one I promise. And definitely the dumbest.

Having finally finished the animation for my Random Cartoons “Six Monsters” short, it came time for me to create the backgrounds. I wanted to try something new, something I’d never done before. So I took my digital camera and looked down.
When i was a student at Syracuse University, I drew a comic strip for the school newspaper, “The Daily Orange”. From September 1995 - May 1999, I drew three or five comic strips a week. Thinking back on it now, it probably was more signifigant in preparing me for my future career than any class I took.

I combined Joe Jackson and R. Kelly to make “Steppin’ Out In The Name of Love”
I confess the idea came to me just because the song titles mashed so easily. But fortunately so did the chords and overall vibe of the song. This soul music is very cold and yet gives promise to a night of romantic adventures in the city. Groove on it by clicking here
Here’s a recent page out of my sketchbook.
Man, when he KILLED Apollo Creed with his fists in under six minutes… that was cold-blooded! Everyone thought it was just an exhibition fight, but Soviets do not play around. Victory is the only thing that matters.
Apollo learned the hard way.
hearts on fire

I finally finished mixing a 12 minute hip-hop concept album called “Octapoc”. I implore you to click here and listen to this insane mini-opera.
“Octapoc” is my latest rap duet with my college chum Bryan “Scrapdog” Mandronico, who lives in Seattle and sells his psychadelic paintings of aliens in galleries there. Bryan and I have been writing and recording rap songs since we met during our freshman year of college. We call ourselves “Mammoth”, a combination of our last names.
In April, Bryan flew out to New York City and we spent 5 days building “Octapoc” up from scratch. As we started writing rhymes it turned into an epic saga about a worldwide invasion of underwater creatures and how Mammoth must fight back and save the world.
We’re thinking about turning this whole thing into an animated short film. Wow, that would be amazing.
I made this drawing for the Freddie Awards souvenir book. It’s a little abstact considering the assignment: a robot and an ipod. But I figured a strange and different interpretation never hurt.
The premier of Fred-Ex was a success today. It was featured on both Cartoon Brew and Cold Hard Flash, the web’s heaviest-hitting animation blogs.
If you haven’t seen it yet, you need to click here right now
Up until this point, we’ve tried to keep the plot of the cartoon under wraps. But now that it’s available to download, we can tell the world…it’s about ROBOTS! I thought it would be a good idea to show some screenshots of how 15 different animators can envision robots. Each of these robots star in the hilarious chapters within Fred-Ex.
