Where Have You Gone, John DiMaggio?

One of the coolest things for me about working on the “Six Monsters” cartoon for Nickelodeon is that John DiMaggio is doing the voice for Roy. For those of you who don’t know, John DiMaggio is also the voice of Bender the robot from Futurama!
…and the penguin from “Madagascar”
…and General Grievous in “Star Wars: Clone Wars”
…and the dog from Pen Ward’s “Adventure Time”
…and about 700 other deep voiced cartoon characters from the last decade.
So listening to this guy read dialogue that I wrote for him is incredibly exciting. And now I get to animate his character! How cool is this?

I love John’s voice! He is such a great voice actor! He’s so diverse and can play a jerkish robot to a cool dog. He’s great!

Just wait until you hear him do “Roy”. It sounds like a cross between Herman Munster and the cop brother from “Everybody Loves Raymond”

That’s awesome…JDM’s also done a lot of voices for various video games…he’s in Final Fantasy X/X-2, he’s in the X-Men games and he’s like half the guards in the Riddick game (which was much better than the movie, i swear).

I love him as Dr. Drakken in Kim Possible.

John DiMaggio is one of my favorite voice actors. Among a slew of others I hope to have voice for characters in the future. *fingers crossed*

who the hell is john dimaggio? i only know joe dimaggio the baseball player from like 60 years ago.
