Elephant King (a.k.a. Whistle the Pink) is Hero Number 105 in the Gamania/Moonscoop series Hero:108. Elephant King runs the air conditioning system for Big Green. Before joining the rebel cause, Elephant King and his minion elephants used foot pumps to fill up their bodies with air and then blast their enemies with their trunks or with whistles.
I’m gonna start posting some production art from Hero:108, so stay tuned. Here is one of my favorite characters, Panda King (a.k.a Heavy Bottom). He plays the flute and is a member of the rebel force’s DoReMi Band. In the Hidden Kingdom, Giraffes and Pandas live together at Pandaffe Castle. To defend their stronghold, Giraffes catapult Pandas over the castle walls with their necks. Unfortunately, Pandas get tired easily and have a hard time running back to the castle after they are used as ammunition. So, the system is pretty easy to combat.
I haven’t done a Radical Cute post in ages –mainly because I’ve been caught up with Hero:108, the show I’m exec producing for Gamania Digital Entertainment, Moonscoop, and Cartoon Network International. The series (which definitely has some radically cute characters – like Jumpy GhostFace!), is launching later this year on Cartoon Network here in the States. To get people hyped about the series, we’ve launched a website and Facebook page. If you guys join our website or Facebook page before May 15th, you’ll be registered for a Toy Contest. We’re going to give away a limited edition vinyl; the winner will be announced on Monday the 15th on our Facebook page.
I first saw Refrigerator Art at Spike and Mike a couple of years ago. It was one of the funnier films that year. Thanks to Youtube, here it is. Refrigerator Art was created by Animator/Screenwriter Michael Dougherty, writer of Superman Returns and X2.
This is no joke, Disney’s genius marketing people have come out with Old Yeller dog food. Wow… what’s next, Flicka Brand glue? Where the Red Fern Grows brand mountain lion repellent? [Read more…]
If you haven’t seen Arj and Poopy, you need to. Created and written by Comedian Arj Barker and animated by flash master Bernard Derriman, it is about the adventures of Arj, his cat Poopy, and Bouncy the Dog. Check out the latest cartoon which shows off Bernard’s great talent of animating hilarious dance sequences.
Check out Burning Safari. This may be hard to believe, but this incredibly cool CG short is a student film from the talented people at the French school, Gobelins l’école de l’image.
