Non-human deadline: August 21.

Most of you know all about New Tee Vee, where the knowing go to know more about wassup in the online TV world. But, you probably don’t know about their summer Pier Screenings events in Los Angeles, where the knowing go to see even more, and meet even more.

Well, August 28 is there ‘Non-Human’ screening (”by which we mean anything that doesn’t include human actors on-screen“) and they’re welcoming “animation, puppets, animals, machinima, or whatever other interpretation you have.”

SUBMISSION DEADLINE IS AUGUST 21.

“Animation…”! That means you! Have those in the know know about your films. Great opportunity, great venue, great event. Get your entries in now.

The art world loves RF’s Snarky Superman!

Ever since I was little I wanted Super Powers like Superman.
And now I think I must have some sort of super power, because the latest edition of Refrederator: Pop Up Superman Monday recently got featured on the Juxtapoz (Hipster Art and Culture Mag) website.
If you ask me, I feel like I’m flying now, and it’s not just all the caffeine in me.

WEB JAM .08!

Orrin Zucker, of It’s Jerry Time, wrote us yesterday with news of his latest endeavor, WebJam .08.

“We’re getting that animation festival off the ground! It’s playing in Boston May 22-24. We’re trying to reach animation fans in the area, and thought you guys might be a good way to do that…”

WEB JAM .08, is the showcase for the best of animation from the internets, and will premiere at the Coolidge Corner Theater, Brookline, MA May 22, 23 & 24, 2008.

not really

i’m gonna interview you about Internet People via Ichat.
How long have you been on the Internet dan?

not in the sense of having a website…but more in the sense of when were you first introduced to the internet?

i first started using the internet in about 1998
here and there in college to check my email and download guitar tablature for Neil Young songs
it wasn’t until I got my own computer after college that i really started surfing the web alot

What was big at around that time period online that you remember? i gues pre viral.

well, it was the first big dotcom era and I was out in San Francisco trying to learn Flash quickly so I could get a job.
There was all these Flash cartoon sites like Icebox and Mondo Media
Viral things…. hmm, it’s hard to remember. I recall one cartoon about a grandad or something.
