The Movie That Inspired John Lasseter, In Person

This coming Monday night you can see, in person, Curtis Hanson introduce John Lasseter introduce the movie that inspired him as part of The Movie That Inspired Me, a film series at UCLA. If you know anything about Lasseter, you can guess what the film is. That’s right. Santa Claus Conquers the Martians. But seriously, though. It’s Dumbo. Lasseter, most famous for winning last year’s Cartoonist of the Year prize at the Channel Frederator Awards, will also show some of his favorite short cartoons. The tickets allotted for online sale are all gone, but you could grab some the night of the screening.
