Hey Hey Hey! It’s Easter, 1985!
Have a look at this commercial break from 1985. You’ll see a promo for Fat Albert’s Easter Special, Popeye will teach you a lesson about bike safety, and Fred Flintstone will help the Shriner’s Hospital for Crippled Children. Watch out for the scary music in the C.L.A.W. commercial!
It’s interesting to see how many public service announcements were aired during the day, as opposed to now. Another interesting note, there is a pretty cool Transformers commercial that airs, and this is during an episode of “Challenge of the Go Bots”. We all know who won that battle.

Oh, wow. I remember that CBS Storybook show, and particularly that wicked guitar solo. Good stuff all around.

Times certainly have changed. For one, the networks till broadcast their own blocks! And the toys certainly look a lot simpler than some of the ones peddled today.
