I got a call tonight from our loyal friend and colleague Floyd Bishop telling me he and his family had been evacuated from their home in San Diego in this week’s tragic California fires. Yesterday, producer Rita Street told me the same thing.
Our prayers are with all of you and your neighbors.

Hey everyone, I’m writing this from the Apple store at the Irvine mall. We’re all safe. I think our house is OK still, as our answering machine keeps picking up when we call. At least it didn’t burn. I hope to be back blogging again soon. Much of San Diego got toasted. If you feel like you want to do anything, send money (not to me… we’re OK). You know, I’ve been wondering a lot about those fires since some of them are in San Diego county. I wish the best to everyone out there. Looking at the news, things seem to be getting at least a little better. Just gotta pray the firefighters can get it under control and that the weather cooperates. And supposedly at least two of the fires were arson…that’s just sick.
