Bewitched Intro: Two Different Dicks and a Flintstones connection
“Bewitched” was a television show that ran from 1964 - 1972. The show had a great animated opening sequence, animated by Hanna Barbera.
There are three versions of the show opening. The first one was shot in black and white. This is the intro that played for seasons one and two.
Seasons three through five had an intro that was in color.
When the show’s cast changed, the intro was adjusted. While the series started with Dick York as Darrin, the character was later played by Dick Sargent.
The characters also showed up on “The Flintstones”. I’m not sure if this was a condition of HB doing the credits for the series or not, but it’s a bizarre cross over to be sure.

This crossover thing was due, in large part, to the fact that Hanna-Barbera had a deal with Screen Gems and “Bewitched” was a Screen Gems show as well. Cross promotion at it’s best. If you look at episodes of Bewitched, you can see Hanna-Barbera plush toys, etc., in Tabatha’s bedroom.
