Welcome, Jeaux Janovsky.
Jeaux Janovsky joined Channel Frederator (and Next New Networks) this week as the community manager and programming coordinator. That’s our fancy way of saying he’ll be involved in all aspects of making CF better. With your help. (More on that another time.)
I’m particularly proud of having Jeaux in our joint because I first met him as a frequent commenter from our community (which was after he’d made the professional acquaintance of my colleague Eric Homan). Soon enough he was a regular blogger for us, with a very natural approach to communicating with you all, and a fan’s passion of the artists who we admire. When it came time to find someone to join our New York office Jeaux was a natural, superior choice.
Jeaux’s bio reads:
“Jeaux Janovsky is many things. An Animator, Artist, Writer,
Illustrator, Painter, Mini-Comix Creator, Musician, Toy Designer, Executive Hoboe & All Around Great Guy. Jeaux attended the California Institute of the Arts, and escaped unscathed with minimal cuts and bruises along with a BFA in the world-renowned Character Animation Program. He has worked for the likes of Mattel, Disney, and currently ‘professionally blogging’ for Channel Frederator. He hopes to get bitten by a Were-Wolf one day.”

It’s tough running an animation studio all the way down in New Zealand, being so far away from many artists we respect and admire and would love to meet, but Jeaux has always made us feel part of that group even though we’ve never met and are thousands of miles away.
Congrats Jeaux, they couldn’t have picked a nicer or more worthy person for the job. Cheers for being an all round cool dude and a great friend to the Muks.

DUDE! WOW! AWESOME! a move to NY! you are so smart and brave my friend. i am working on a project that was lucky enough to have some development art done by you, the one and only JJ. it’s always fun to see what you have going on and i can’t wait to see what crazy stuff you are going to pull out from under that hat. thanks for kindly spreading the word about my stuff and others’ around the blog universe! congrats on the move and greatest of fortunes to you in the near future!

What great news! Jeaux, I’m always amazed by your enthusiasm for the industry, the art, the love of animation — it certainly shows through your words and talent. Best of luck to you, man!
And yes, I owe you an interview. Very sorry about that. I kinda did a big move recently myself so I’m sure you’ll understand the delay in that. I’ll keep in touch.

From BBV to the wild world of executive cartooning and such. Good move, I’d say - for N3 and Ch.Fr, of course. For the 2.467 years we’ve known each other, I’ve only know you to persue excelence in making others laugh, smile, and use their noggins. Congrats to you and your new team.

Jeaux let me borrow a dvd of “Forbidden Zone”, which I have yet to return…hmm, maybe I could mail it to NY, but anyways, people will come in my office and see it stacked amongst other dvds, they’ll pick it up and say, ‘what the heck is this?’ I tell them Jeaux let me borrow it and everything becomes clear. So what I’m trying to say, is that the inimitable Jeaux permeates our lives in many ways. And with this new venture for him, I hope that the effect he has on everyone is greater and more expansive than ever…because it’s a fine one, a creative one, by someone who supports all that we love.

While adding Jeaux’s genius to the company will surely prove a wise decision, do not underestimate the true power of dr. janovsky: his mighty beard! It’s where he procures most of his brillia1nt ideas.
