Charlie Hippo in TV Trouble
Inspired by Dan Meth’s first student film, I had the uncontrollable urge to show you my own first student film, but mine ain’t near as cool as his was and his was a month course, mine was a 3 year curriculum! Still I had a blast doing it anyway, and I learned a lot about what not to do!
I went to The Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art in Dover NJ, (such a mouthful, why couldn’t it just be Joe Kubert School?) where I studied animation. Charlie Hippo was my first character and my first student film which I co animated with my friend Harry McLaughlin (now an A.D. on American Dad). Not near as cool as Dan Meth’s film because it has cheesy Casio synth music instead of Led Zep but eh, I’m not near as cool or prolific as Dan myself so it makes sense!
