REMINDER! The eligibility deadline for Channel Frederator Awards is October 20.
We’ll probably officially announce the First Annual Channel Frederator Awards in the next couple of weeks. (We’re still figuring out exactly how to pull this thing off which is why we’ve taken our time. Of course, we’ll probably still screw up a lot of it.)
But I wanted to show you loyal viewers a sneak peek of the progress we’ve made on some stuff. You saw the comp of the poster that Frank Rocco designed. Well here’s a first look at the prototype award statue (”The Freddie”) by the fine folks at Clockwork Apple at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. We’re deeping the color of the red and the base will be black (with a plaque for the winner). And I’d say it’s about 10″ high.
Like I mentioned above, films received after October 20, or run after November 1, will not be eligible for this years awards (there’ always next year). So submit your film today, we’d love you to win!
