For those of you unfamiliar with Bill Plympton’s work, do yourself an immediate favor and check out his site here. Here is also a very comprehensive bio of the famous filmmaker. Bill has made a name for himself as an animator unafraid to take risks, and make the films he feels passionate about. And now he has embarked on a feature…This promo for the “Hair High” feature delivers us gritty action, and gnarly up-dos, all in classic Plymptonian style.
Bill also has a short this season with “Random! Cartoons” called “Gary Guitar”. It is charming.

I know Bill’s cartoon isn’t being blogged, but is there any way to see some of the in progress art? I’m a fan of Mr Plympton’s work, and I’d love to see something from the new short.
