Channel Frederator Featured Film, Episode 43: “Ballyvaughan Story”
A man narrates the story of his Irish mother’s brush with heroism when she was a little girl. Sara Pocock took a semester abroad from Minneapolis College of Art and Design, and studied at Burren College of Art in Ballyvaughan, Co. Clare, Ireland. After being toured around historic Ballyvaughan by an exceptional guide, she interviewed him about his mother, and knew she had the story for her animation. Her charcoal landscape drawings of Ireland were integrated into the animation.
Thank you for your beautiful film, Sara.
