Channel Frederator Featured Film: “Float”
Joel Trussell, the man who brought you “War Photographer” in Channel Frederator Episode 2, is back with another music video that does nothing but rock our world.
Says Trussell, “I actually met the Atomic Swindlers back in 2004 through our mutual agent at the time. They approached me about directing a music video for one of their tracks and I was excited to try out a sci-fi piece. The Swindlers gave me full creative freedom, so it was great being able to create all these characters and a micro-world for them to exist in. Ultimately I allowed the music to dictate much of what happened in the piece, but I tried to weave in the story of a heroine rescuing her friend from this ring of thugs. Oh, I’d also like to mention some of my ol’ Seattle friends Doug Gordon, Jason Medisky and Peter Hon were a great help in animating this as well. Thanks to the goodfolk of Frederator for allowing me to participate!”
