Omanaman: “A Business of Flies”

March 22nd, 2006

A Business of Flies is a freestyle animated journey through the lives of flies as they metamorphasize into humans and back. It is based on the epic novel “I Feel Like a Ham Sandwich” by Shay Biggenz. If the style looks vaguely familiar, it’s because Channel Frederator Episode 21 featured Omanaman’s “HELL Computers”.

Omanaman, AKA “Joe Shakula”, says this about his film: “A Business of Flies is pretty much just visual masturbation. I wanted to do some fun illustration and animation and I didn’t have a lot of time to think about it. I did it about 2 years ago and when I look at it now I’m not really sure what I was thinking, but I had fun.”

“Not sure what I was thinking…but had fun…” Sounds like a weekend in Vegas!

Thanks so much for your submission, Joe!

Hey, just watched 1 & 2, but it’s going to be a while before I can get to 22. Everything is great in it’s own unique way. The shorts (Funny, creative and wierd), the talk between episodes (hilarious), and the music in between also (Oh the music!). I love the Oriental music (pleeease play more!). Thanks for making this show, i love it! Contact me at halotrixzdj@yahoo.com, i’d like to hear your opinion(s). P.S. Isn’t Frederator inc. show its label on some Nickolodeon show? See ya.

Dear Channel Frederator,
After watching your many deliciously funny videos, I noticed an unmistakeable resemblence to my favorite show, Adult Swim. Are you guys at all partners, or does the Channel Frederator Manager just love the way Cartoon Network-Adult Swim do things.
