THE SHIP HAS SAILED…
ARRIVADERCI! SO LONG! BON VOYAGEE! DON’T FORGET TO WRITE!
Well last week the first batch of models, color guides, props and backgrounds were shipped off to our studio in Korea. So they can burn them or poop on them or something. No! Wait. They’ll be animating! America will be doing the pooping!
We should be seeing our first pass at animation in the next couple of months. All praise FREDERATOR!
Anyway, it’s been about a year and a half since Alan and I started working on this project and there were times we never thought we’d get out from under it. Like some kind of visit from your mother in law, we just didn’t know when it would end.
And to really rub it in, some of our talented colleagues on this web site finished 2 cartoons in the time it took us to just spell BRONK and BONGO! In fact I think Anne and Aliki just made another short while I typed this in.
And Stephen Levinson was only 2 when we first started and now he’s about to be a grandfather.
Seriously though, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank GARY CONRAD our director extraordinaire! Without whom we could not have been able to make this little Dog show. Thanks Gary for all your patience as we asked you hundreds of questions about everything we didn’t understand. Which was pretty much everything. Take a break pal, you’ve earned it.
Oh! Shhhh……the little guys sleeping. Awe…he always gets like this after Alan breast feeds him.

Bloggingly yours, Alan and Manny

It’s been a blast working with you two. Thanks for letting me be a part of it…you guys are the greatest!! But, uh, remind me again: which of you is Manny and which one is Alan? I always get mixed up on that one…

It was great to have you on board. Although it took many hours to convice Alan that Chuck Jones and Tex Avery just weren’t an option. And he still wanted to go with either one of them even after explaining that they were dead and all. And Alan is the short red one and I’m the tall blue one with the red nose.

Aw…I’m going to miss those awesome B&B blog entries that always make me laugh. Congrats guys and good luck Bronk and Bongo! (btw, I created five more shorts while writing that sentence. Well…actually…I just drew another freakin picture of a lemur to tape on my monitor. But it’s an AWESOME lemur. I swear!)

Oh the posts aren’t over. I figure if MIKE MILO can still post and his short shipped and aired in the 70’s that we can still find stuff to talk about. In fact, I’m sure you know how it is, there is still stuff going through the pipeline believe it or not. up next title card!
And post your Lemur if he is so AWESOME as you say. Put your Lemur where your Blog is!

Thanks for the kind words Steve. And for being our number one fan. As for our look, well I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the style of the show is so old that it’s new again. And because of it we were presented with interesting challenges. It’s apparently hard to make thinks look like they used, when it used to be so easy. IRNOIC. We did have a great and stressful time working on it but we wouldn’t trade it for the world. Stay tuned for more…

Congratulations Manny and Alan! It’s about time! Yeesh during the time to make your cartoon, I’ve lost more hair on my head than Bronk or Bongohas on their whole bodies combined and believe me I’ve counted their hairs! But then who hasn’t? Sexy lil’ red and blue doggies they are!
