People never tire of those early sketches of cartoon characters. . . the Simpsons from the Tracey Ullman show; the Flagstones before they were Flintstones; Bugs when he was more anarchic and had some rough edges. Bronk & Bongo are delighted to announce that director Gary Conrad has joined the project. A 1984 graduate of CalArts, Gary is best-known to his personal biographer for directing Danny Phantom and Fairly Oddparents (for which he received an Annie Award nomination). Dead serious about posting more often that is. I know it’s been a while since our last post so sorry about that. As it turns out BRONK and BONGO were actually found in NEW YORK! Seems that Eric Homan had told them to go see the show producers and they thought he meant “THE PRODUCERS”, on BROADWAY! Some kind of confusion happened and they ended up in the lead roles and have been performing for the last 3 weeks to rave reviews. Their contract is now up and they’re hailing a cab back to California to get right back to work on their short.
