“Ricardio the Heart Guy” Storyboard
Okay, the board’s credited to Bert Youn and Sean Jimenez, but these pages may or may not contain the work of Messers Ward and McHale, in part or in total. (Sure, I could ask, but where’s the lack of follow-through in that?)
“The Royal Promise” Storyboard
While the full board is credited to Elizabeth Ito and Adam Muto, these pages are Elizabeth’s. (Correct me if I’m wrong, someone.)
Next Week: “Prisoners of Love” Roughs
There’s lots of rough art to share from “Prisoners of Love” next week, including backgrounds, characters, props, and effects. Till then, re-acquaint yourself with the episode with an early version of the storyboard, posted below.
So, I blew it again!
If you’re looking for the “Meet the Ice King” storyboard, these panels are what we’ve got for you right now; we took the board itself down.
This time I can’t even blame a network for it. Nope, it’s my fault. Pen and I spoke about it, but I didn’t check in with the other key members of the AT creative team. They felt there was a better way for us to share the show with you as we proceed, and I agreed I’d jumped the gun.
Don’t worry, there’ll still be plenty of AT works-in-progress posted in the coming year or so the show’s in production. You’ll see almost every step along the way, and you’ll be hearing more from the crew themselves, which is a lot better than what we’ve been given you. Watch this space.
Sorry about that.

Speaking of storyboards…
…I asked Kelly Crews and Keith Mack, from our crack AT production crew, to send over storyboard template our team uses on the show.
Sketch away!

“Meet the Ice King” Storyboard
