“I was at work on Friday waiting for one of our iPhone games to compile, so I whipped up at little AT fan art. After having lunch with Phil & the design crew, I was blown away by what they’re doing over there in the design dept. I saw one of the animation tests and it looked really good too. I’m excited to see the show.

“These characters would be fun as hell to animate for a Flash or iPhone game or something.

“Anyways, hope you enjoy. :)”

Pen Ward and (I think) Adam Muto

When you’re around a lot of great art all day, like at any Frederator production, you start taking things for granted. Even the offhanded but wonderful scribbles of artists scribbling each other. But, for some reason, a couple of weeks ago at Adventure Time, I had a flash and actually looked up at Pen’s door.

Here’s a picture of the Adventure Time team as of Wednesday, March 4, 2009. Pretty cool, even with Pat McHale’s eyes closed.

That’s yours truly at the top next to Pat, the show’s creative director.

That row of five behind the counter is made of executive producer Fred Seibert, creator Pen Ward, board artist Bert Youn, story editor Merriwether Williams, and executive producer/show-runner Derek Drymon.

Storyboard artist Sean Jimenez is the guy sitting with his legs crossed. Joe Horne, another boarder, is to Sean’s left, your right.

Back to the left side, that’s writer Adam Muto, production coordinator Dick Grunert, and production manager Keith Mack. Background designer Santino Lascano is over to the right (with glasses), and beside him is Larry Leichliter, the series’s supervising director.
